3D technology already plays a central role as the foundation for current and future professional responsibilities in manufacturing, marketing, sales, and education and training. To learn 3D skills, the 3D Summer School from the July 29, 2022, through July 31, 2022 give the new MAFINEX building a vibrant, colorful makeover. Numerous workshops at three skill levels, including a 12-hour workshop series exclusively for 3D beginners, will be led by the organizing team headed by Prof. Tobias Günther – even founders at MAFINEX – are offered.
Products are designed in virtual spaces, advertising campaigns are launched using digital twins, and online shoppers can view products from all angles with a single click. Specialists in high-priced, delicate machinery are trained in VR, and fictional films transport moviegoers to fantastical worlds. Facebook even claims that future collaboration will take place in the so-called metaverse. And who will create the 3D content needed for this? Exactly—that’s where you come in!
The School introduces you to the colorful, diverse world of 3D Crafting with a practical focus Step-by-Step Workshops. The 3D program Blender (open-source, available for many platforms) is used for modeling, texturing, animation, shading, compositing, color grading, and rendering. The School’s instructors are a mix of 3D hobbyists and full-time 3D professionals who are organizing the School for the fifth consecutive year.
